A California-licensed physician assistant with dual board certifications in psychiatry and emergency medicine, a Doctorate in Counseling and Trauma Studies, and over 15 years of clinical experience spanning psychiatric care, addiction medicine, and psychedelic-assisted therapy.
Daniel Cable is one of a small number of physician assistants in the country holding dual NCCPA board certifications — in both Psychiatry (CAQ-PSY) and Emergency Medicine (CAQ-EM). He earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College and his Doctorate in Counseling and Trauma Studies from Liberty University, and completed additional post-graduate certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and Research at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Daniel's clinical career spans rural emergency medicine, urgent care, and psychiatric and addiction medicine. Over more than 15 years he has led advanced practice provider teams, spearheaded Spravato (esketamine) treatment programs, and delivered MAT care across outpatient substance use programs — building deep expertise across some of the most complex presentations in psychiatric medicine.
Beyond his clinical work, Daniel is a two-time military veteran — having served honorably in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force — and has volunteered medical care in Ukraine, Peru, Romania, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. He is a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo alumnus.
