Across the state, the average wait time to see an in-network psychiatrist can stretch to three to six months. For someone struggling with anxiety, depression, or an unmanaged condition, that wait isn't just inconvenient — it can be the difference between getting better and getting worse.

NoriMind was built to shorten that distance. By combining licensed physician assistants with direct psychiatric oversight — and by working entirely through telehealth — we can offer appointments in days, not months, to patients anywhere in California.

Dr. Abdellatif Aichouri serves as NoriMind's Medical Director and Supervising Physician, bringing over 25 years of psychiatric experience and a deep commitment to accessible, high-quality mental health care.

Having run his own private psychiatric practice in San Luis Obispo, Dr. Aichouri understands what good care actually looks like in practice. At NoriMind, he personally oversees every clinician on the team — reviewing care plans, consulting on complex cases, and staying close to the care delivered through our platform.

Medical Director oversight

Dr. Abdellatif Aichouri, a licensed psychiatrist with more than 25 years of experience, serves as Medical Director and supervising physician for every clinician at NoriMind.

Licensed physician assistants

Your day-to-day care is provided by a California-licensed physician assistant trained in psychiatric medicine, working under a formal practice agreement with our Medical Director.

Collaborative review

Clinical cases are reviewed regularly between your physician assistant and our Medical Director, with direct consultation available for any case that needs it.
